What begins as a discussion about the best type of cat to adopt morphs into a conversation where the women share their lives and the choices that brought them to their encounter, then make a pact that could change both of their futures.
Veneer – run time 25 minutes
Jennifer rushes home from work to prepare for the arrival of her mother-in-law only to find her husband of three years neurotically cleaning the house for the second time. No matter how hard she tries, she can’t soothe his nerves which feeds into her fear that he’s cheating on her. When the doorbell rings, they both put on a happy face to greet John's mother, who Jennifer is meeting for the first time. Regal and a bit overbearing, Beverly’s presence escalates the tension until secrets explode leaving all of them questioning their choices and where to go from here.
The second two plays from the full-length work CHOICES will be performed as a staged reading. Directed by Pete Fernbaugh and starring Sarah Rose, Natalie Spanner, Chris Cattell and Yvonne Hudson, the run time is approximately 40 minutes plus a talk back and Q & A with the playwright and director.

During a visit with her son and daughter-in-law, Beverly accidentally learns her dead husband’s mistress has been double dipping. For years, unbeknownst to Beverly, Lily received child support payments from Gordon at the same time she sent monthly checks to ensure Lily didn’t tell him she knew about the affair.
Endgame – runtime 15 minutes

Determined to put an end to the gravy train, Beverly shows up at Lily’s house to confront her but didn’t plan on the consequences of Gordon’s love child overhearing their argument.
Freedom – runtime 25 minutes
In the final play of the full-length CHOICES, we return to the patio of the coffee shop from Confinement where various characters from the previous plays gather after an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Together they attempt an honest, and often humorous, discussion about their choices, regrets and hopes for the future. As they disperse, a long-kept secret begins to unfold, leaving some of them to navigate what is still unspoken.

What happens when two people in a relationship deal with their fears and insecurities in completely different ways? Set on the patio of a coffee shop, Rob says he wants to call it quits and blames his dream of being a rock star while Andrea insists they get married and move to Florida to start over. Their debate sparks issues like repeating family patterns, avoiding the truth, and compromising versus making adjustments. All of this is observed by Brandon, who listens intently in an attempt to learn how not to make the same mistakes in his relationship.
